Circa Late 1930s Early 1940s Purple & Gray Silk Turban Scarf Tilt Hat

A very Old Hollywood looking turban tilt hat made of scrumptious gray & grape purple silk chiffons, artfully coiled, draped & braided (even the head strap is an eye-catcher!), with a long, tendriling “end piece” that can be wrapped around like a scarf or Medieval wimple style. I believe this was custom made, a very high end little number! Check out the flick “Cover Girl” with Rita Hayworth for similar, superb vintage hats~

Circa Late 1930s to Early 1940s Red Felt & Cocarde Toy Hat

A delicious lipstick red, sculpted fur felt toy tilt hat trimmed with a very Art Deco style ribbon cocarde (now a bit faded). Many fashions, such as this were very military influenced at this time period, due to the impending World War II.
